Anti-Wrinkle Injections Indication

Other than the normal indication for which BTX is used, certain other indications where it may be used include:

• Eyebrow lift
• Widening of glance – This procedure is essentially indicated for women or men with small eyes (Chinese/Japanese descent) or low set eyebrows. This provides opening of the eyes and a fresher appearance to the face.
• Nefertiti lift – Named after the ancient, Egyptian queen – this is a mini lifting procedure where the platysmal muscle insertions are weakened (neck muscles where they interact with the jaw line) – thereby decreasing the downward pull they create and giving the jawline and the neck a more contoured look.
• Facial slimming – Here the masseter muscle is weakened in order to provide a slim contour to the lower face for patients with wide or square faces. This can be combined with high cheek bones (in ideal candidates) to achieve the “model look” in those who desire it.
• Excessive sweating for palms, soles and also body odor
